It’s time once again for the monthly Malifaux Tourney at Dragon’s Lair Houston! Just a reminder–the current NAFT season closes on June 30th, so this might be your last chance to lock in your spot for the 2023 Masters Invitational Championship Tournament!

We’ve been officially using clocks for the last two months and everything has been going smoothly, so I wanted to remind everyone that we will continue to officially use clocks in a full way for this event! I have enough clocks to provide them for the normal number of players we have at our monthly events (and a few players kindly provided enough clocks to handle the larger than average number of players we had last month), so no need to worry about that but if you happen to own a chess clock yourself it would be useful to have if we have another larger turnout this month. As I said above, the current NA Faux Tour season closes on June 30th; this is the last of the Houston Monthly tourneys we will have before the standings lock in. The NAFT rankings have also been updated and the Lonestar Conference is once again the most active conference in all of the NAFT! Come to close out the season and claim your spot at the top of the rankings! The new “Madness of Malifaux” book was recently released and the rules for all of the models from this book are now available in the M3E Crew Builder app, so they will all be allowed at this event! I will continue to be VERY liberal with my proxy policy for models from the Madness of Malifaux book which have rules released but not physical models (several have come in recently at Dragon’s Lair, so you can pick them up while you’re there!). Proxies for these models will be acceptable so long as they are on the correct base size and you inform your opponent in advance what the proxy model is representing. As always, painting is not required.

We’re booked for tournaments the 2nd Saturday of every month at Dragon’s Lair in their new space, so block out that day on your calendars in perpetuity! Dragon’s Lair also recently opened up their Tabletop Tavern, so now you can drink a beer while playing some Malifaux!

This event will be a three round, 50 Soulstone, fixed faction tournament utilizing the Malifaux 3rd Edition rules. Registration will begin at 11:00 AM. Round 1 will begin as close to 12:00 PM as possible.

There is no painting requirement for this tournament.

Entry fee is $10 and goes entirely to prize support.
