February Malifaux Monthly Tournament! – Houston, Texas
Date: Saturday, February 11, 2023
Start time: 11:00am
Location: Dragon’s Lair Houston North
Address: 21155A State Highway 249, Houston, Texas 77070
It’s time once again for the monthly Malifaux Tourney at Dragon’s Lair Houston! We’ve had some amazing turnouts for our monthly tourneys lately–we kicked off the year with 14 players for our January tourney and I’d love to keep those numbers high!
The new “Madness of Malifaux” book was recently released and the rules for all of the models from this book are now available in the M3E Crew Builder app, so they will all be allowed at this event! For the models which have rules released but not models I will continue to be VERY liberal with my proxy policy because we’d all love to try out our new toys! Proxies for these models will be acceptable so long as they are on the correct base size and you inform your opponent in advance what the proxy model is representing. As always, painting is not required.
We’re booked for tournaments the 2nd Saturday of every month at Dragon’s Lair in their new space, so block out that day on your calendars in perpetuity! Dragon’s Lair also recently opened up their Tabletop Tavern, so now you can drink a beer while playing some Malifaux!
This event will be a three round, 50 Soulstone, fixed faction tournament utilizing the Malifaux 3rd Edition rules. Registration will begin at 11:00 AM. Round 1 will begin as close to 12:00 PM as possible.
Wyrd released an Errata and FAQ on December 14th (which is labeled as the November 2022 errata), so make sure you familiarize yourself with the changes and update your crew builder app to have the most current cards and rules downloaded. Links to the Errata and FAQ can be found here: https://www.wyrd-games.net/news/2022/12/14/waldos-weekly-an-errata-holiday-gift
This tournament will be making use of the Gaining Grounds Season Three document, which may be found at:

There is no painting requirement for this tournament.
Entry fee is $10 and goes entirely to prize support.
