SUMMARY:North American Faux Tour Championship Weekend
DESCRIPTION:When the NAFT was originally conceived\, the plan was to have the Championship event occur at its own event outside of a convention and to host two concurrent GTs–the “Master’s Invitational Championship” where the top-ranked players from each conference are invited to face-off to become the NAFT Champion and the “NAFT Black Joker Open” where players who weren’t quite lucky enough to qualify for the championship invitational get to compete to win the first tournament of the new season. This event to close out the 2023-2024 NAFT Season and kick off the 2024-2025 season will be held June 7-9 at Dragon’s Lair North in Houston\, Texas!  \nThe idea behind the side by side tournaments is to ensure the maximum level of competition in the Master’s Invitational while simultaneously allowing players to plan and make travel arrangements before they know if they are high enough in their conference standings to earn an invitation. This dual format also allows less experienced players who know they won’t qualify for the invitational the opportunity to compete in an event where they know they won’t run into the top tier players who are busy beating each other up in the Invitational! \nBoth events will be 2-day\, 50ss fixed faction Gaining Grounds 4 tournaments and take place starting on Saturday\, June 8 and ending Sunday\, June 9. The whole weekend is designed to be a celebration of Malifaux with more casual events starting on Friday\, June 7th as players come into town. \nTickets are on sale now through Dragon’s Lair Houston!
